Highlights
Easy, fast and feasible for UX experiments

01 From components to pages and user flows
The Core Export Team Design Library improves team efficiency by providing streamlined components, standard pages, and best practices for essential user flows.
02 Content-specific session structures
The design library is organized into 6 content-specific sessions, each with its own structured approach to ensure efficiency and flexibility for design experiments.

*The Product Detail session is organized based on its component functions.

*The Checkout section encompasses multiple user flows existing across various footprint markets.
03 Bridging the gap and inspiring evolution
The new design library bridges the current launched production and design systems, understanding the engineering constraints in regional marketplaces and providing design resources to the team for further exploration and evolution.

Why are we doing this?
Amidst the complexity of business and the ambiguity of design systems, a pivotal tool for the team to conduct impactful UX experiments with limited design bandwidth is an easy, fast, and feasible team design library.
01 Limited design bandwidth serving broad business lines
To optimize our efficiency as a concise team covering the entire core export business lines, we aim to reduce the time wasted on design production.
03 Ambiguous business and engineering constraints impeding team efficiency
To accommodate the diverse export markets and their unique constraints, our team needs to tailor CX solutions that address regional business and engineering limitations rather than relying on patterns of major marketplaces.
02 Overlapping design systems leading to complexity and confusion
Having design systems is one thing, but efficiently utilizing them is another. With multiple design systems in place, figuring out which one to follow can be confusing and time-consuming.
Reflections
01 Beyond visual coherence
Design systems transcend visual language. They embody a unified user experience that resonates globally, connecting regional business requirements with a consistent customer journey that reflects the company's unique tone and manner across diverse markets.
02 Evolution over updates
A design library should not be a static artifact subject to periodic updates. Instead, it should be a dynamic and evolving space that adapts to the team's ever-changing needs and the business landscape. By treating the design library as a collaborative playground, teams can engage in ideation and experimentation, enjoying the process of creating impactful user experiences.
03 Ambiguity as opportunities
Navigating ambiguity in this project allowed me to embrace uncertainty as a catalyst for collaboration and improvement. By empathetically understanding the needs and perspectives of stakeholders, we fostered a culture of collaboration, enabling us to uncover opportunities to shape the future of customer experience.
